Population biologist/geneticist based in Charleston, SC, working on the endemic marine and freshwater populations of the South Eastern USA with the ultimate goal of better understanding on how to manage and preserve them. I am part of the Population Genetics team at the Marine Resources Research Institute and serve as an Adjunct Faculty at the College of Charleston.
Fascinated with biological diversity and with understanding how morphological and behavioral variation arise, I use an interdisciplinary scientific approach, encompassing field work, genomics, molecular genetics, physiology, and behavioral ecology, to pursue this fundamental interest, as to gain a greater understanding and appreciation for biological conservation and sustainability.
