Mar 2023 - Final STN: local adaptation and sex differences workshop in beautiful wine country-Ingelheim, Deutschland. It was great seeing some old faces, participating at the final workshop, and brainstorming some ideas with bright people.
Aug 2022 - New pub in in Molecular Ecology with the Charlesworth group. Happy to have contributed toward a greater understanding of the population structure of the Trinidadian guppy and their sex chromosomes.
Feb 2022 - New year, new update. Officially out in print, with a nice perspective.
May-Jun 2021 - Culmination of my postdoctoral work so far where I (we) integrated various methods (multivariate, sensory ecology, population genomics) to show the extent of phenotypic parallelism in wild populations of guppies and of among population variation. Interesting to find that things aren't so parallel, as previously thought, in guppies....Definitely more things to come. Stay tuned!
Also, exciting to see that the AR knockout lines I generated during my Ph.D. are continued to be used for the study of cool behavioural variation in zebrafish.

2020 - Strange year, but still managed to get some work done and provide further insights into the sex chromosomes of guppies in G3 and MBE.
April 2019 - New pub in Ecology & Evolution, stemming from my time at the NIG (Kitano lab) as an NSF-EAPSI/JSPS fellow.
March 2019 - New pub in Proceedings of the National Academy of Science
(with Deborah Charlesworth's group). Using whole genome sequencing and genetic mapping, we tackle whether sex differences in recombination can also provide a stage for sexual antagonistic polymorphisms to arise. |
August 2018 - New pub in Philosophical Transactions B, which stemmed out of the Workshop: Linking local adaptation with the evolution of sex differences
February 2018 - New pub in Current Zoology on female colouration and aggression in stickleback
End of 2017 - STN: local adaptation and sex differences & ESEB in Lund (Sweden) & Groningen (Netherlands), resp.
July 2017 - FSBI conference in Exeter. Amazing conference and scientists!
March 2017 - Back from Trinidad
Beautiful sceneries and culture, and successful collection of guppies.
